Fort Davis (West Texas : Part 1)

The first stop on our West Texas road trip was Fort Davis. Ft. Davis is about 6 and a half hours away from Austin but the drive surprisingly felt short. We got there quick and although this town was very small it was nice. Our plan here in Ft. Davis was to attend a Star Party at McDonald Observatory which is where University of Texas students/professors study astronomy. That turned out to be more than we could have imagined, it was really wonderful!

When we were finally getting close, we were excited about this sign because these were the two places we were visiting! After being in the car for 7 hours once we stepped outside it felt so good & chilly.

I really loved this sweater, I thought it was so cute! Might have to go back for it...

This was right outside of our bed and breakfast called Old Schoolhouse - I thought this view was pretty spectacular. I loved being surrounded by so many mountains and hills.

Now here are the photos from the star party, I used the slowest shutter speed on my camera to capture these pictures!

As small as Fort Davis was, I would definitely go back. It was a cute little town and if you ever have the chance to stop by and go to a star party I would definitely do it!
