MARFA! (West Texas : Part 2)

Prepare for picture overload. Lets start off by talking about our first stop in Marfa. PRADA MARFA. I honestly have been wanting to visit this place for a long time and actually making it here was unbelievable. One of my dreams came true! This may sound a bit overdramatic but I am being completely honest. I was so happy.

Obviously I had to snap the classic Beyonce jump in front of the Prada store - it took about fifty shots until we got the right one (thank you to Roger for being so patient with me) and then I was even more excited! I didn't want to leave. Prada Marfa was the best part of the trip, and the best part of Marfa (at least, to me)

For those of you who don't know: Prada Marfa is an art instillation and not a real store. You can read all about it here!

A few super chic bags inside the store.
Roger even did the jump! I didn't even have to beg him (haha!) :)
This is the piece that has been causing some controversy amongst the Marfa residents. They are unsure whether it is "art" or just advertising. Either way, I also loved it! Because of the conflicting ideas they might take this down soon (and maybe even Prada Marfa!). That is why we had to come ASAP.
This was a super cool looking hotel in Marfa. Next time Roger and I might try and stay here, they also had tons of cute shops inside!
We ate some mega delicious fried chicken at Fat Lyle's! Along with some tasty bread and fries. It was funny because in Marfa everybody knows everybody. So people were constantly running into each other and chatting. We would also see the same people about ten times! One guy who we saw eating along with us at Fat Lyle's ended up being our tour guide at our next stop. Haha!
Our next stop was a building where German soldiers were held captive during WWII and they painted murals along all of the walls in the building. It was really something and the lady who took care of it stopped us for a long conversation - very random and interesting!
Of course you must stop at any place that has coffee and ice cream. We both got iced lattes that were very delicious!
Marfa has tons of cute shops, sadly they were all too expensive for me but I really enjoyed window shopping!
This book store was sooo cute and they had a little exhibit inside with a bunch of paper cranes. I loved it!
Our "hotel" room at El Cosmico. We wished we could have stayed in a teepee but only a tent was available. It was super cute though, and surprisingly really comfortable. Just make sure you take extra blankets!
Alas, we had some delicious pizza.
Would I go to Marfa again? Definitely. I would love to see Prada Marfa a million more times. The drive was a bit long but totally worth it!
