Basic Holiday

I am so excited about my latest shopping trip. I have been craving some good shopping after I came back from the shopping capital (Las Vegas) with nothing! I also just received a nice surprise in my email that Strut, a local Austin boutique, was having everything 60% off! I made Roger take me ASAP, and a lot of other ladies were there too. On our way home we passed Urban with the wonderful 50% off sale items sign in their window... that is always my favorite sale of the season, so of course I had to stop (had to)
Going in to Urban I was really wanting some dresses, and I saw some really cute ones online but the ones at the store were blah. I sifted through the tops, though, and found this suuuuuper awesome Marfa top! And it was sleeveless! (my favorite!) After our latest trip to Marfa, anything that slightly resembles it, shall be mine!
The pink skirt is actually a full priced item but for some reason this skirt was marked down, I think it has something to do with the elastic being a little twisted at the top, but you honestly can't tell a thing - and plus it came down to only $20! Every time I stopped into UO I wanted that skirt so bad, so to find it hanging alone was definitely a sign (from the fashion gods, of course). I hope there isn't something messed up with the skirt that I haven't noticed...
I picked up this lip top on the way to the fitting room. The guy that works at my favorite local coffee shop asked me, the other day, if I buy anything with lips on it - and I think the answer is yes. Had to.
Strut is a pretty great boutique that has a few really aweome pieces. Like any boutique, the quality is always iffy, so I really only shop there when there are major deals. Once I saw 60% off I knew I had to see what they had in stock. Again, I was looking for dresses but I came out with some pretty awesome basics. This black top has a lovely lace detail on the top and it will go perfect with all of my skirts!
The leggings on the right are maybe the best leggings I have ever owned. If only you could feel the inside, lined with a faux fur material that is warm beyond belief, and doesn't let a bit of cold wind go through. I know that may sound like it is too hot but they really aren't. Inside or outside, they are perfect. I also purchased them in solid black because they are great for wearing out!
Roger always tells me I need to wear socks whenever I am about to go ride my bike, but I am always wearing flats and I definitely do not want to wear socks with flats (not cute!). So I have been on the hunt for some flat booties which is honestly pretty hard to find. I saw these and they look really simple but they are pretty amazing. You can style them with some super colorful socks, or they just look great alone. These are one of those, maybe I should have bought two pairs, of shoes because I have already been wearing them like crazy.
I would definitely recommend a pair! So comfortable, too :)
I can't wait to wear all of these during the Holiday break... but until then, finals - YUK!
