calligraphy for the soul.

I have been very inspired by calligraphy lately. So much so, that I have already found a book... nibs I want to purchase... classes I need to schedule... and letters to write! I woke up around 4:30 AM with calligraphy on my mind and read up as much as I could within three hours (before I knocked back out).
I think my biggest interest in calligraphy comes from my desire to write beautiful letters. I love writing, and I have always loved my handwriting and trying different ways to write, but I think learning to master this skill would really make me happy. Practicing sounds a bit scary, but at the same time it sounds like good meditation on a stressful day, or just to look at pretty penmanship :)
The thought of being able to write to my family, create grocery lists, or party invitations has me on a rush that I cannot wait to begin this new venture! So, stay updated :)
Now I cant stop looking at #calligraphy on Instagram. Here are a few beautiful ones I found:

Finally, this is by Lauren who blogs at
Blue Eye Brown Eye. She offers her own classes that you should definitely check out if you live in Fort Worth/Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin. Hopefully I can take one soon, she seems pretty amazing!
